As creator and founder of Peace In The Pack and extremely successful "Peace In The Pack" programs, Nancy (Nan) Tollino, ABCDT, is a certified Canine Behavioral Expert and Professional Dog Trainer. She is a graduate of the Animal Behavior College and member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) She has been rescuing and rehabilitating dogs for the past twenty years. Her vision for her company and its programs is to save lives by empowering people with the knowledge to meet their dogs' physical and psychological needs so that dogs may maintain their homes and reduce the chance of tragically returning to shelters due to lack of information and communication. She has successfully rehabilitated many dogs who were sadly considered unadoptable and are now living healthy, happy well-balanced lives.
*** She is extremely proud to share that several of her latest bite cases have successfully rehabilitated to become successful therapy dogs, working with children (at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia), the elderly and search and rescue, among others.
As an expert in the field of canine behavioral modification and through her unique ability to gather information from the CANINE'S perspective, she has often been told by clients and students alike that this unique perspective is fascinating and she's been nicknamed the "canine therapist." Nancy teaches her One-Of-A-Kind seminars, "Peace In The Pack" at numerous colleges including Camden County College, (RCGC) Rowan College at Gloucester, (RCBC) Rowan College at Burlington and in the Audubon Community Education. She was the Pet Reporter for nine years and is still the resident canine behaviorist/consultant on KYW NewsRadio. She also lectures for veterinary techs and industry professionals and their staff. She is listed as a canine behavioral expert with the Expert Institute for legal cases regarding canines. She is also an authorized Mentor Trainer for Animal Behavior College and is frequently referred for her session work by veterinarians.
Master of the canine "look" through their facial expressions, Nancy has a unique knack and as she's been told many times, "amazing intuition" for successfully knowing the direct response of each individual dog. She has extensive experience working with dogs of all sizes, breeds and intensity of issues. Throughout the years, she has been a volunteer at numerous animal shelters and rescues throughout the Tri-State Area, successfully working with unadoptable dogs with severe behavioral issues with many positive and successful results. Nancy continually attends ongoing seminars and workshops across the country and intends to keep pursuing her growth with intensive study in the field. Nancy's reports ran weekly for nine years on Philadelphia's top rated news station, KYW NewsRadio1060, (aka Talleno ) where she is still currently their resident canine expert. She was recently interviewed as an ongoing guest by Dr Michael Tokiwa on Your Pet Matters at 107.7 WRRC the Bronc, Cruisin' 92.1 WVLT and also on A Paws for Your Pet on WOND 1400. You can hear the interviews on the Shows and Broadcasts page.
